On January 17, 2026, the 4th Session of the 3rd Member Congress of the Taizhou City Metal Materials Circulation Association was successfully convened in Taizhou. Sun Xudong, Assistant Secretary-General of the China National Association of Metal Material Trade (CAMT), was appointed by the CAMT to attend the congress and deliver an address.
The congress, themed "Jointly Exploring Development and Advancing Collaborative Innovation", gathered more than 100 company representatives and industry experts from Taizhou’s metal materials circulation sector. On behalf of the CAMT, Sun Xudong extended congratulations on the successful convening of the congress and expressed high appreciation for the achievements of the Taizhou City Metal Materials Circulation Association in stabilizing the market, facilitating circulation, and standardizing industry order.
Sun Xudong, in his address, noted that 2026, as the layout year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the metal materials trade industry is confronted with the dual challenges of demand structure adjustment and supply-side upgrading. Against the backdrop of global supply chain transformation and domestic green and low-carbon transition, the industry needs to accelerate its shift from traditional trade models to a "service-oriented, digitalized, and globalized" paradigm. Competitiveness enhancement should be achieved through optimized resource allocation and industrial chain synergy. The China National Association of Metal Material Trade (CAMT) will guide the industry to "emerge with new vitality and advance toward green development," promote the construction of a national industry community with a shared future, and assist companies in navigating changes.
Focusing on deepening cooperation, the CAMT has put forward three synergy directions: policy synergy, which involves timely transmission of the national policy orientation for the steel industry; resource synergy, which entails sharing national-level platform resources to empower company upgrading; and market synergy, which aims at joint expansion of overseas markets such as the Belt and Road Initiative. This concept is highly aligned with the development plan of the Taizhou City Metal Materials Circulation Association. All participating representatives expressed their intention to strengthen linkage and explore innovative cooperation pathways.
This conference has consolidated the close ties between the China National Association of Metal Material Trade (CAMT) and the Taizhou City Metal Materials Circulation Association. Both parties indicated that they will further deepen their cooperation to jointly propel the metal materials trading industry into a new phase of high-quality development.
